The track has established a significant footprint in the digital landscape, currently boasting more than 10 million global streams and inspiring over 300,000 user-generated videos on the TikTok platform. This achievement positions the artist as a prominent new voice within the afro-R&B-soul fusion genre.
At its core, ‘GORGEOUS’ serves as a sincere exploration of affirmation rather than traditional flattery. KUNMIE drew inspiration for the composition from a close friend facing personal struggles with self-confidence. By leveraging his signature melodic warmth and vocal texture, he crafted a song designed to provide genuine reassurance. The production process involved a collaboration with GRAMMY Award-nominated musician Lojay, alongside a production team consisting of Drilly, The Kazez, and Puffybeatz.
