Meet YJL: cellist, composer, and innovator, stepping into the spotlight with a sound that redefines genre lines. Known for her classical achievements, she’s now introducing a new dimension of her artistry with eight original tracks and two music videos, all self-composed and produced on Logic Pro.
YJL holds degrees from both The Juilliard School and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, earned through prestigious scholarships. Her classical credentials have drawn international praise, with Classical Net calling her Prokofiev recording “highly recommended,” while Das Orchester highlighted her “great ease and sensitivity.”
Now living in Seoul, YJL brings her multilingual fluency and multicultural life experience into her music. Songs like “New Day,” “Jazz On,” “Sky,” “Soft Star,” “Je T’aime,” and “Vibe” form a body of work she describes as “cello + K-pop fusion with emotional storytelling.” The project’s visual and musical components are designed to appeal to fans from Asia to Europe to the Americas. 
The energy is cinematic, bold, and forward-looking. Each track reflects her personal evolution, both as a performer and as a producer. Her move into this genre-crossing space is a deliberate push toward wider audiences and fresh artistic expression.
In another creative endeavor, YJL recently developed the project “Familiar Classics,” collaborating with artists such as a Netflix comedian and a Forbes-featured pianist. With a naturally easygoing style and deep musical integrity, YJL is firmly positioned among the most exciting new talents to watch.
