LA-based producer, singer, and DJ XIE returns with Kick Drum Heart, a bold and emotional house music EP out now via Lady of the House. The project is a heartfelt tribute to the communal power of the dancefloor, with grooves designed to echo through the heart as much as the club.
With vibrant singles like “LOVE LANGUAGE” and “Siente El Ritmo,” XIE blends Tech House, UK House, and Latin House into a cohesive, kinetic release. “These songs are all about my obsession and personal relationship with house music,” XIE shares. “I wanted to creatively paint the picture of how music is such a saving grace in my everyday life… and portray how it feels when you’re in the club and the beat is bumping through your body.”
Drawing on her classical training as a violist and her singer-songwriter roots, XIE’s music reflects both discipline and spontaneity. Her signature kaleidoscopic sound is as sassy and distinct as her live shows, which have taken her to iconic stages like Coachella’s DoLaB, HARD Summer, EDC Las Vegas, and Miami Music Week.
