“clue” by The Two Lips delivers dreamy production with emotional weight and introspection.
With their new single “clue,” Los Angeles-based duo The Two Lips continue to draw attention for their ethereal and emotionally rich sound. Released through Island Records UK, the track follows their debut “talk,” and cements their presence on the indie pop radar.
“clue” is steeped in the duo’s signature style—hazy instrumentation, layered vocals, and raw reflections on relationships. Andrea and Jewlz explain, “‘clue’ is a song about the feeling when you have exhausted all options trying to save a relationship and you feel like you’ve reached a dead end… Still, there’s hope that the ‘case’ can be cracked and the relationship is worth saving.”
The single arrives amid a wave of sold-out shows. After supporting Sabrina Carpenter in London, The Two Lips played a packed headline gig at The Grace before returning to the U.S., where they sold out LA’s iconic Troubadour and El Rey Theatre. A series of West Coast dates is scheduled for August, continuing the duo’s live success.
Born and raised in Cerritos, the two artists began creating music as a form of expression and connection. Their cultural roots—both Mexican, with Jewlz also Filipina—influence their artistic voice. Their breakthrough hit “still love you (todavía)” amassed over 25 million Spotify streams and earned viral status.
