UKG star Sammy Virji drops “I Guess We’re Not The Same,” following a massive year of sold-out shows and festival takeovers.

Sammy Virji, one of the leading forces in the global UK garage revival, is back with his latest single, “I Guess We’re Not The Same,” released today via Astralwerks.

Following his 2024 hit “Damager,” the new track blends soulful vocal melodies with his signature garage groove, complete with a skippy drum beat and deep, rolling bassline. The song was previewed by Four Tet during his Lot Radio set in New York, generating anticipation ahead of its official release.

Virji’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. He recently sold out two nights at O2 Academy Brixton (January 31 and February 1) and is preparing for the first leg of his 2025 North American tour.

His impact in 2024 was undeniable—from performing to 55,000 fans at Milton Keynes Bowl for Chase & Status’ takeover to playing Glastonbury, Parklife, and Boomtown. His Boiler Room debut in Denver alongside Nikki Nair and Hudson Mohawke only further solidified his underground credibility.

As UK garage surges back into the mainstream, Sammy Virji continues to push the genre forward, delivering tracks that balance emotion, energy, and dancefloor appeal. “I Guess We’re Not The Same” is another step in his journey as one of the most exciting producers in electronic music today.
