Royal & the Serpent unveils “Euphoria,” a track inspired by TV nostalgia and emotional highs.

Alt-pop standout Royal & the Serpent has dropped her latest single, “Euphoria,” through Atlantic Records. The track not only delivers her signature mix of emotion and experimentation but also sets the stage for the release of her debut full-length album, due later this year.

Describing the creative process behind “Euphoria,” Royal explains: “Not to sound so cliche but the song was totally inspired by the show. When we were producing it out we would watch the carnival scene from season 1 over and over again. I wanted this song to feel like being at the top of a ferris wheel and looking out at an orange sunset… or like spinning in circles on the tea cups ride at an amusement park. I wanted it to feel like a fever dream.”

The new release follows momentum from her recent tracks “Carry Me Home” and “Death Do Us Part,” the latter of which racked up over 1 million streams and was featured in Billboard’s “Queer Jams of the Week.”

Last year, Royal gained additional attention for “Wasteland,” her contribution to the Arcane League of Legends: Season 2 Original Soundtrack. Her live performance with Twenty One Pilots and d4vd at The Game Awards was praised by outlets like NME and mxdwn, underscoring her growing influence.

With “Euphoria,” Royal & the Serpent presents a surreal sonic experience that further shapes her evolving artistic identity.
