Rosie Darling releases “Roomful Of People”, a heartfelt new EP led by emotional single “It Is What It Is.”
LA-based indie-pop singer-songwriter Rosie Darling unveils her new EP Roomful Of People, out now via Nettwerk. Produced by Justin Gammella (FINNEAS, Ashe), the EP highlights Rosie’s evolving sound while maintaining her signature heartfelt lyrics and ethereal melodies.
Leading the release is “It Is What It Is,” a poignant track that explores the complexities of relationships and self-realization. Over a lithely plucked melody, Rosie confronts a relationship that has reached its end, singing with raw honesty, “I say, ‘It is what it is,’ because I know what it isn’t.” Reflecting on the song’s meaning, Rosie shares, “It’s about realizing where you stand with someone… some things are clear if you allow yourself to see them for what they are and not what they could be.”

Roomful Of People marks a fresh chapter for Rosie. “My last album, Lanterns, was very serious and emotional, but I was able to have more fun on this project,” she says. “It feels more playful and upbeat. It’s energized, and it’s like a reset for me.”
The EP also features standout tracks like “Roomful Of People,” a bittersweet reflection on moving on while still feeling connected to a past love, and “Smoke & Mirrors,” where Rosie reclaims her power against someone who underestimated her. Songs like “Joanna” and “This Is Me Letting Go” further showcase her emotional depth and relatable storytelling.
With Roomful Of People, Rosie Darling invites listeners into a more playful, liberated, and deeply resonant world.
