The Métis artist writes, produces, and performs on her new project “Tempered”, now available to stream.
Robin Cisek’s new album Tempered captures a journey of self-discovery, creative freedom, and emotional depth. With seven new tracks produced primarily in her home studio, the Edmonton-based singer-songwriter takes full control of her art.
Known for her bold presence in pop and her Métis identity, Cisek shares: “I decided to call this project Tempered because I wanted to make a statement about how women are told how to feel in society.”

Her lyrics on tracks like “Leave Me in the Cold” and “Play Dirty” underline the duality between vulnerability and power. “Tempered glass is beautiful, but strong under pressure. Too much pressure and it doesn’t just break, it explodes,” she explains.
The release follows her 2021 debut Delicate Minds, which focused on mental health and healing. Tempered builds upon that foundation with sharper production, alternative pop influences, and a fearless approach to sound.
Cisek has also announced that she’s working on lyric videos for “Reactive” and “Rumor,” and will be celebrating the album live on May 30th in Edmonton. The album’s name and sound embody a clear step forward for an artist forging her own path.
