RayRay reveals the personal roots of the track: “‘Afterlife’ is a deeply personal track that I originally wrote in memory of my cousin, who passed away from cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic. The grief of losing her, especially during such an isolating time, was overwhelming, and this song became my way of processing those emotions.” 
She continues, “While the lyrics carry a sense of sorrow and longing, I chose to express that pain through the energy of Speed House and Hard Dance—turning heartbreak into something uplifting. This song is not just about loss. It’s about carrying memories forward with joy, movement, and energy.”
