TDE’s Ray Vaughn drops ‘CEMETERY lanterns,’ a powerful new single leading up to his debut EP, ‘The Good, The Bad & The Dollar Menu.’
Top Dawg Entertainment’s rising talent Ray Vaughn continues his momentum with the release of “CEMETERY lanterns,” out now on all platforms. Produced by Rayo (Tyla, kwn) and Kyu Steed (Amaarae), the track delivers a percussive and introspective sound as Vaughn gears up for his much-anticipated debut EP, The Good, The Bad & The Dollar Menu, now available for pre-save.
Discussing the track’s meaning, Vaughn shares:
“‘CEMETERY lanterns’ is a story for those caught between loyalty and survival. It’s about the struggle of growing up in the hood, torn between following the footsteps of those you look up to or breaking the cycle.”

As one of Tidal’s 2025 Artists to Watch, Vaughn has made major moves, performing at Ken & Friends and Free Lunch in LA for Juneteenth while also making waves with his track “Blasphemy,” which was synced to SZA and Keke Palmer’s #1 film, One of Them Days.
His recent collaborations include tracks with Isaiah Rashad (“EAST CHATT”), Pusha T (“Problems”), and NLE Choppa (“FNBM”), showcasing his versatility across hard-hitting beats and sharp lyricism.
With a blend of storytelling, humor, and raw authenticity, Vaughn’s upcoming EP promises to solidify his place in the rap scene.
