Offset teams with J.I.D on “Bodies,” a defiant new release sampling Drowning Pool’s iconic anthem.

Motown Records presents the latest collaboration from two of Atlanta’s most visionary artists: Offset and J.I.D. Their new single “Bodies” lands with punchy production, haunting visuals, and a heavy rock-inspired sample drawn from Drowning Pool’s 2001 hit.

From the opening lines, “Bodies” asserts its presence. Offset rides the Vinylz and FNZ beat with unwavering confidence, setting the tone for a single about resilience and transformation. “‘Bodies’ is one of them ones I had to really take my time with,” Offset shares. “‘It’s about standing on who you are… I’m always evolving.’”

The layered production—choir vocals, sharp piano accents, and hard-hitting drums—underscores Offset’s declaration of artistic freedom. J.I.D. meets the moment with a dynamic verse that blends seamlessly into the darkly cinematic vibe.

The track’s accompanying music video, directed by Offset, is a surreal interpretation of the themes found in the lyrics. Stylized with red carpets, runway elements, and throne-room symbolism, it builds a world around the music rather than just a visual narrative. J.I.D. appears alongside a looming grim reaper, while Offset commands attention at the center of it all.

Offset and J.I.D both use “Bodies” to push their respective boundaries, weaving hip-hop intensity with visual storytelling. “‘J.I.D. is my guy and had the perfect energy to match ‘Bodies.’ Stay tuned because we going up,’” says Offset.

The release hints at more to come and positions “Bodies” as a summer anthem with edge and artistic ambition.
