NIIKO X SWAE channel 90s nostalgia with their latest Dim Mak release, “Drop It Low,” a funk-infused house anthem packed with energy.
Los Angeles-based NIIKO X SWAE are back with their latest high-energy house anthem, “Drop It Low,” out now on Dim Mak. The duo infuse their signature style into the track, which features a funk-inspired acid bassline, infectious plucks, and a hyped-up vocal sample that makes it a must-add for DJs and clubgoers alike.
True to their nostalgic creative direction, the duo incorporates 90s influences across their music and visuals. The official “Drop It Low” artwork comes to life in a retro-style music video, featuring an NXS-branded yoyo—a playful nod to the Y2K era.
Speaking on the track, NIIKO X SWAE explain:
“‘Drop It Low’ captures the high-energy vibe we bring to our live sets and has become a staple in our shows. Designed as a versatile DJ tool, it blends seamlessly across multiple genres. It’s the kind of track you’d hear in a sweaty basement. It features a classic vocal that feels instantly familiar to any raver or clubgoer while pushing sound design to new levels—flipping familiar sounds into something fresh and unrecognizable.”

After their viral collaboration with Tiësto and Tears for Fears on “Rule The World (Everybody),” which amassed over 150 million views on Instagram, NIIKO X SWAE have been on a meteoric rise. Their recent track “Serious” with Train and “Waiting For You” with Daniel Allan have also been widely supported by DSPs and fans alike.
With an action-packed touring schedule, festival sets at Escapade and Lost In Dreams, and their headline “Rule The World Tour”, NIIKO X SWAE continue to establish themselves as one of the most exciting duos in dance music today.
