Rising star Nafeesisboujee drops debut EP “yours truly, nafees” and shares video for “fallinlove.”
20-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer Nafeesisboujee makes a bold entrance with the release of his debut EP, yours truly, nafees, via 10k Projects. To celebrate, he unveiled the music video for the lead track “fallinlove,” directed by Julius Gutierrez. Executive produced by Nafees and close collaborator Curtis Waters, the EP also features appearances from Gen Z favorites like Yung Fazo and Berry Blue.
The 10-track concept project offers a vibrant take on coming-of-age experiences through a global lens, capturing the excitement, fears, and lessons of adolescence in today’s digital world.
Already a breakout star with over 120 million global streams, the Fordham University student seamlessly blends indie-pop, rap, and electronic elements, forging a sound that resonates with a worldwide audience. With his Bengali roots and Cape Town upbringing, Nafees brings much-needed representation to pop music.
The momentum continues with the upcoming The International Dream Tour, featuring dates in Los Angeles (June 1), Chicago (June 9), and New York (June 14).
Following the viral success of his track “Stephanie,” Nafees’ journey from South Africa to America showcases a unique artistic narrative. His DIY spirit, inspired by early SoundCloud and artists like Steve Lacy, is evident across singles like “Spin U Round,” “Barbie & Ken,” and “Hailey.” 
With his EP, Nafees offers a deeply personal snapshot of growing up: “yours truly, nafees is my way of holding onto those memories,” he says.
