Moneybagg Yo shares the introspective new single “Close the Door,” with a video debuting on BET and Times Square.
Moneybagg Yo returns with a raw, reflective new single, “Close the Door,” out now via CMG/N-Less/Interscope Records. The track offers a deep dive into the weight of his past and the pressures that came with his rise to success, underscoring his place as one of hip-hop’s most consistent and emotionally candid voices.
In the new song, Bagg raps, “I done ran through bout 2 or 3 million and I spent it all on drank. They told me go hard or go home, I switched the rules and went hard in the paint.” It’s a powerful reminder of the sacrifices behind his journey. The music video made its premiere on BET Jams, BET Hip Hop, and on Paramount’s Times Square billboards, highlighting the personal nature of the release.
This track follows the release of his 2024 album SPEAK NOW and its deluxe edition, SPEAK NOW OR…, which features over 29 tracks. The project saw Bagg reconnect with his Memphis roots on “BUSSIN” featuring Rob49, and cross genre boundaries with Morgan Wallen on “WHISKEY WHISKEY” and Chris Brown on “DRUNK OFF U.” Other guests included Lil Durk, GloRilla, BossMan Dlow, and YTB Fatt.
The project marked Bagg’s fifth studio album and his 10th appearance in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200, adding to a catalog that includes his 2021 No. 1 debut A Gangsta’s Pain.
With “Close the Door,” Moneybagg Yo continues his legacy—built on truth, grit, and an unmatched pen.
