House music heavyweights release “Natural Blues” via Defected; a remix-turned-collab made for summer sets.
A vibrant new release from Defected Records arrives just in time for the summer season. “Natural Blues” unites the creative powers of Moby, BLOND:ISH, and Kiko Franco in a powerful track designed to energize global dancefloors.
BLOND:ISH recalls the unlikely origin of the project. “Moby randomly called me… and asks: ‘Wanna remix one of my songs?’ I’m like, ‘Any song?!’ He’s like, ‘Yep, pick one.’” Working in Rio with Kiko Franco, the duo quickly turned inspiration into a collaboration.

Franco adds, “We worked on the track remotely… It perfectly showcases how all of our strong points came together.”
With its lively piano stabs and signature Moby samples, “Natural Blues” merges styles seamlessly. Kiko Franco’s Afro House elements and melodic textures build anticipation before cascading into explosive drops, lending the track a wide-reaching appeal. “I’m happy to be able to add elements of my identity,” Franco states. “Especially my leads and my Afro House percussion.”
The collaboration marks a milestone for BLOND:ISH, whose multifaceted career includes DJing at major global festivals, running the Abracadabra label, and spearheading environmental efforts with Bye Bye Plastic. As she gears up for her 2025 Pacha Ibiza residency, this track adds to her evolving legacy in dance music.
