Spanish singer-songwriter Mario Baro, a trailblazer in Spain’s emerging bachata scene, shares his powerful new single “Amores,” out now via BCHTA Records. Melding the warmth of bolero with his modern bachata style, Baro offers a track that feels timeless yet boldly contemporary.
Known for his smooth guitar work and deeply introspective storytelling, Mario Baro delves into emotional reckoning on “Amores.” “I didn’t write this song to justify myself,” Baro shares. “I wrote it to accept that I was also one of those people whose love has hurt others… and sometimes, that’s the first step towards change.”
Lyrically, “Amores” explores the complexity of love that leaves scars rather than healing wounds, embracing themes of regret, broken promises, and emotional maturity. Co-written with Pinto Picasso and sP Polanco—who also produced the track—”Amores” weaves bolero and bachata together into a lush, guitar-driven soundscape. 
Following the success of “Noción Del Tiempo” and his contributions to BCHTA Rising Vol. 2, Mario Baro is continuing work on his highly anticipated debut EP with Latin GRAMMY-nominated producer and BCHTA Records founder sP Polanco.
