MARINA unveils “CUPID’S GIRL,” a hypnotic new track marking the next step in her exciting new era.
Following the success of last month’s “BUTTERFLY,” internationally acclaimed artist and author MARINA returns with “CUPID’S GIRL,” a pulsating pop anthem signaling the official launch of her next artistic chapter. The new single is out now and showcases MARINA’s unmistakable lyrical wit wrapped in seductive, psychedelic-pop production.
“CUPID’S GIRL” captivates with its hypnotic chorus and playful punchlines. “Cupid, you’re so stupid / trying to resist my kiss,” MARINA sings, layering humor and sensuality with a twist of mythological mischief. “Shoot my arrow right into your back,” she continues, as lush synths and punchy beats swirl around her vocals.
The track follows the momentum of “BUTTERFLY,” MARINA’s first release since 2022, which has already surpassed 9 million global streams. Known for reshaping the landscape of alternative pop, MARINA’s return cements her status as both an enduring icon and a fearless innovator. “CUPID’S GIRL” and “BUTTERFLY” reaffirm her journey from cult hero to full-fledged legend. 
“BUTTERFLY” also arrived with a cinematic visual, directed by Aerin Moreno, which premiered across MTV Live, MTVU, and on Paramount’s Times Square billboards.
Adding to her already massive 2024, MARINA is set to perform at major festivals including both Coachella weekends, World Pride Music Festival, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Osheaga.
She also recently announced a Limited Edition Red EcoRecord of her acclaimed 2015 album FROOT, in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Set to release July 25, the special edition includes a tropical-scented sticker and an unreleased song from the FROOT era, “I’m Not Hungry Anymore.”
