Comedian-turned-musician Mae Martin adds new tracks and acoustic versions to “I’m A TV”, out June 20.
Mae Martin is proving that their creative reach knows no bounds. On June 20, the multi-hyphenate talent releases I’m A TV: Welcome Distraction Edition, a deluxe take on their highly praised debut album that peels back even more emotional layers.
The new edition brings two brand-new songs and acoustic interpretations of several fan favorites, delivering an intimate twist on the already emotionally charged original. Produced by Jason Crouse and Wes Marskell of The Darcys, the entire project was penned by Mae themselves—an artist who continues to push their storytelling through every medium they touch.
Thematically, the album presents a cinematic reflection on heartbreak, memory, and identity. As a self-described oversharer, Mae doesn’t hold back.

“A chronic oversharer,” they admit. “But here, there’s no pressure to land a punchline, only space to tell the truth.”
Fresh off their first headline tour, Mae is hitting the road again for a brief Pacific Northwest run beginning June 10 in San Francisco. Concertgoers can expect beloved tracks like “Stowaway” and “Good Dream,” along with debut live performances from the deluxe release.
Mae Martin’s evolution from stand-up stages to music venues signals a bold, genre-crossing future—and Welcome Distraction Edition is the next chapter in that journey.
