Loco Dice teams up with German rap icon Haftbefehl for ‘Ice Cold Dealer,’ a genre-blending track from his upcoming album Purple Jam.
Loco Dice continues his genre-fusing streak with his latest release, “Ice Cold Dealer,” featuring German rap legend Haftbefehl. Out today via Astralwerks, the track merges tech-house grooves with gritty hip-hop energy, marking another standout collaboration ahead of Dice’s forthcoming album, Purple Jam.
With roots in both hip-hop and techno, Dice has always pushed musical boundaries. His early DJ career in the ’90s began with hip-hop, shaping the rhythmic intuition that defines his electronic productions today. On “Ice Cold Dealer,” he reunites with these influences, crafting a low, droning 808 bassline that melts into layered claps and uptempo frequencies, perfectly complementing Haftbefehl’s raw, unfiltered lyricism.

Speaking about the collaboration, Dice shares:
“There aren’t many German rappers who talk about things I can truly relate to. Haftbefehl is one of them. He speaks about the very reality I grew up with on the streets of Germany. The way he raps is the same way we speak in the hood — raw, real, and unfiltered. His music captures the essence of life in urban Germany, particularly in immigrant communities.”
With more club-ready tracks on the way, “Ice Cold Dealer” offers a preview of Dice’s next musical chapter—one that’s set to make an impact on both the electronic and hip-hop landscapes.
