Laci Kaye Booth channels country royalty in her latest release, “George F****** Strait,” a slow-burn anthem for timeless love.
Country artist Laci Kaye Booth brings a bold and emotional new track to life with “George F****** Strait,” released via Geffen Records. As she gears up for CMA Fest, Booth taps into her Texas heritage with a song that blends nostalgia, admiration, and desire.
Written by Booth, Melissa Fuller, and Anderson East, the song is steeped in reverence for the country legend. Ben West and East, who also worked on Booth’s debut album, return as producers.
“My very first concert was George Strait,” says Booth. “This song is about admiring and loving a cowboy as he ages, with the prime example being the King of Country music, the Troubadour himself.”
The accompanying video—directed by Natalie Sakstrup (Zayn, LÉON)—portrays Booth under the soft glow of late-night lights, delivering the track’s emotional pull with authenticity.
Having recently made her Grand Ole Opry debut, Booth is slated for a series of summer appearances, including dates with Megan Mooney and Parker McCollum. Festival stops in Ontario and Maryland are also on the horizon.
Booth’s previous single, “Daddy’s Mugshot,” drew praise for its haunting vulnerability. Now, with “George F****** Strait,” she’s proving her artistry goes beyond storytelling—it’s a bridge between generations.
