King Cruff drops “BUNCH,” a reggae-infused hip-hop anthem produced by !llmind & Don Mills—out now.
Rising Canadian-Jamaican artist King Cruff shares his dynamic new single “BUNCH”, a vibrant blend of hip-hop swagger and dancehall-rooted wit. Released via Tuff Gong Collective/Universal Music Canada, the track is powered by heavy bass, head-nodding percussion, and King Cruff’s signature fast-paced flow.
Produced by !llmind (2X GRAMMY winner) and Don Mills (credits: J. Cole, Giveon, Juice WRLD), “BUNCH” arrives as a statement record—playful, self-aware, and rich in sonic detail.
“I’m very much in my hip-hop bag on ‘BUNCH’ but I also wanted to bring a sarcastic sense of humour to the lyrics like earlier dancehall songs I remember listening to,” says King Cruff. “But as funny as the song is, it’s actually talking about being faithful to your partner… ‘Don’t you know Jamaican men do not cheat’ serves as a reminder that Jamaican men are the original ‘lover mans.’”
“BUNCH” follows his 2024 debut EP WHAT HAVE I ‘DON, a genre-bending project featuring collaborations with Skip Marley, Stonebwoy, and more, backed by an impressive producer lineup including Banx & Ranx, Tessellated, and Natural High Music.
This year has already proven pivotal for King Cruff. His single “FALLBACK” featuring Runkus earned him a JUNO nomination for Reggae Recording of the Year. Recent high-energy performances at SXSW, Departure Festival, and NXNE have further solidified his presence on stage.
Up next, he hits major festivals including Festival d’été de Québec, Sommo Festival, and a coveted slot opening for The Roots at Backyard Music Festival. With “BUNCH”, King Cruff continues to redefine what modern Caribbean-rooted hip-hop sounds like.
