After a Dour Festival tease, KI/KI and Marlon Hoffstadt release ‘Losing Control’ via Capitol and MC3, B2B Zeebrugge ahead.
What is next for two club favorites arrives today. KI/KI and Marlon Hoffstadt, also known as DJ Daddy Trance, deliver ‘Losing Control’, the first time they have collaborated on a single. The track was announced last month during their appearance at Belgium’s Dour Festival and is now available via Capitol Records in partnership with MC3.
Composed and produced together, ‘Losing Control’ leans into the feeling of surrender on a packed floor, celebrating the moment when the crowd gives in completely. That mood mirrors the intent of both artists, whose sets often travel the same arc.
Marlon Hoffstadt added, “Even before I knew KI/KI, I wanted to make music with her. She has always been an inspiration to me and I knew it would slap if we got in the studio together. Seeing ‘Losing Control’ unfold makes me so happy. It’s the best of both our worlds: raw, fast, emotional. And crowds just lose it every single time.

“I remember playing Marlon’s tunes in my sets before we met and me thinking ‘who is this guy?’” recalls KI/KI. “His tracks just hit differently. After we met for the first time, I pictured us making a track together where our sounds would merge – powerful, crazy but still emotional. Our first studio session followed soon after and everything fell into place. I’m incredibly thankful to share such an epic journey together and, most importantly, SO READY TO LOSE CONTROL.”
The collaboration immediately moves to the stage. On Sunday, August 10, KI/KI and Marlon Hoffstadt will perform their first B2B together at Zeebrugge Beach on Belgium’s North Sea coastline. The extended set will run five hours for a 20,000 strong audience, and tickets for the event were gone within minutes. See below for artist itineraries.
The announcement also highlights KI/KI’s recent milestones. She spans acid techno to trance, queer underground rooms to global festivals, selling out 20,000 capacity shows, appearing as a Spotify Global Equal Ambassador, covering DJ Mag during Amsterdam Dance Event, and becoming the first woman to win the Dutch Edisons Pop Award. Her ‘5 HOURS NYC’ sold out in 30 seconds, and both her BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and headline b2b with Job Jobse at Lowlands reinforce her presence across scenes.
