KARABA unveils “Surfacing,” the final single before her “Tides” EP drops June 13 via ONErpm.
French-Congolese producer/DJ KARABA continues her sonic evolution with the release of “Surfacing,” out now via ONErpm. The track marks the third and final single from her forthcoming EP Tides, arriving June 13.
Blending Afro house rhythms with layered oceanic textures and ethereal vocal chants, “Surfacing” presents a deeply immersive and emotional experience. The track serves as a spiritual and sonic crescendo in the five-part journey that is Tides.
“‘Surfacing’ is the final single of my EP, where everything comes together,” says KARABA. “After the tension and high energy of the journey, it feels like a moment of rebirth and arrival—floating above the water, chanting, and embracing the calm after the storm. It’s the sense of finally reaching the destination.”

Surfacing follows the earlier singles “Siren” and “Dark Waters,” both of which hinted at KARABA’s genre-expanding approach. Drawing from her background as a former professional dancer and her Congolese roots, she weaves rhythm, movement, and narrative into every release.
Her breakout track “Mad Mess” earned a Juno Award nomination in 2024 for Underground Dance Single of the Year, while “Dark Waters” landed her on the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Canada.
Ahead of the EP’s release, KARABA will perform at Lightning in a Bottle in California and AFRODOM Festival in France, further solidifying her rise as a global voice in Afro house.
