“Till I Get To Heaven” is Kalsey Kulyk’s latest single—an upbeat anthem about living without regrets.
With her newest release, “Till I Get To Heaven,” Canadian country singer-songwriter Kalsey Kulyk leans into carefree optimism and summertime confidence. Released through Universal Music Canada, the single marks another chapter in her growing catalog of heartfelt country-pop storytelling.
The inspiration for the song dates back a decade, to when a teenaged Kulyk first discovered Taylor Swift’s debut album and was struck by the recurring name in the songwriting credits: Liz Rose.
“When I was 17 years old I heard Taylor Swift on the radio for the first time and then immediately went and bought her first album,” Kulyk explains. “The name that was beside all of my favorite songs on that album was ‘Liz Rose.’”

As a budding songwriter, that name meant everything. “I don’t know when or how, but one day I’m going to write songs with her,” she said at the time.
Fast forward ten years, and that dream came true. Kulyk brought the idea for “Till I Get To Heaven” to a writing session with Rose and fellow songwriter Phil Barton—resulting in a buoyant, relatable tune about making the most of every moment.
The song highlights Kulyk’s distinctive ability to marry modern storytelling with vintage country influences. With a voice that carries echoes of country’s golden age, she’s carved out a space that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
Originally from Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, Kulyk has built her reputation steadily, grounded in sincerity and talent. “Till I Get To Heaven” affirms her place as one of Canada’s most promising voices in contemporary country.
