Josiah Queen teams up with Brandon Lake for “Can’t Steal My Joy,” an empowering new anthem. Out now via Capitol Records/CCMG.

Breakout artist Josiah Queen has kicked off 2025 with the release of his new single, “Can’t Steal My Joy,” featuring five-time GRAMMY® Award winner Brandon Lake. Released via Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG), the powerful anthem was co-written by Queen, Lake, Hank Bentley, and Jacob Sooter, who also produced the track. The song’s message of resilience and faith resonates deeply, as Queen explains:

“This song came from the idea that our joy isn’t dependent on the situations we face in our lives,” Queen says. “It says in the Bible ‘the joy of the Lord is our strength.’ A lot of times we read that verse and don’t think about the power we have in joy. All of my life, the enemy has tried to rob me of my joy, but he can’t have something he never gave me.”

Queen teased the single on social media, where previews garnered over five million combined views ahead of its release. This momentum builds on his stellar 2024, during which his debut album, The Prodigal, topped Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart and its title track secured a spot on several “Best of 2024” playlists.
