‘SALT + LIGHT’ showcases John K’s most personal material yet, touching on love, growth, and family.

John K enters a new artistic era with SALT + LIGHT, his latest full-length album released via Epic Records. The 13-track collection arrives as a statement of creative and personal clarity, following years of development and a string of successful singles.

Singles like “Honey,” “Never Been In Love,” “River,” and “Lost” paved the way for the album’s warm emotional tone. “Broken,” the newest release, stands out as one of John’s most heartfelt tributes, dedicated to his wife.

“I’ve grown into becoming a father and a husband, and my music has grown with me,” John says. “The goal is still timeless, story-driven songwriting, but now it’s for my wife, my family, and myself.”

The album features production by top talents including Rykeyz, Ryan Daly, and Midi Jones. These collaborations resulted in lush, dynamic tracks that retain the intimacy of journal entries.

“Lost,” which reintroduced John K’s sound in 2023, highlighted his intention:

“You’ve found the person you can’t imagine your life without,” he said. “The only way to say it is, ‘I’d be lost without you’.”

In support of the album, John embarks on The SALT + LIGHT Tour: Part 1, starting July 31 and hitting 19 cities including Los Angeles, Toronto, and New York before wrapping in Orlando.

“I want every word I’m singing to be believable,” he adds. “I’m grateful for every day I get to pursue this.”
