Puerto Rican breakout artist DIA has released his latest single, “CON EL,” a transformative reggaeton anthem featuring fellow rising star Paopao. The song marks DIA’s debut under Casablanca Records, now available on all streaming platforms. Fans can also watch the visually compelling music video accompanying the release.
Blending bright marimba synths and a driving reggaeton beat, “CON EL” showcases DIA’s and Paopao’s distinctive styles in perfect harmony. DIA’s fiery opening verse transitions seamlessly into paopao’s smooth, emotive delivery, creating a wistful yet experimental soundscape. The collaboration reflects a fresh take on reggaeton, as the two artists explore themes of heartbreak and memory through innovative production and heartfelt storytelling.
“I started working on the song with Red Finger (producer), and from the moment I wrote the intro, I instantly thought of Paopao,” DIA explains. “She gives her fans that pleasant sadness in her songs. We wanted to take ‘regret’ in a different direction, and storytelling through my songs is something that identifies me. We merged both worlds together, and it resulted in ‘CON EL.’” 
The accompanying video paints a poignant picture of heartbreak, featuring DIA reflecting on a past relationship as he finds a sentimental plush toy linked to his ex-partner. Meanwhile, Paopao mirrors this journey, with the artists singing on opposite sides of a door, choosing to leave the past behind.
