Dean Lewis drops new single “I Hate That It’s True” from upcoming “The Epilogue (Deluxe)”, arriving July 11.

International superstar Dean Lewis has officially announced the deluxe edition of his acclaimed, #2 ARIA-charting album The Epilogue, arriving Friday, July 11. The announcement is paired with the release of a brand-new single, “I Hate That It’s True,” which will feature exclusively on The Epilogue (Deluxe).

The expanded version of the album will include five additional tracks, including recent fan favorite “With You,” which has surpassed 62 million global streams, over 260,000 TikTok creates, and 11 million OMV views. The song has also earned placements on Hot Hits Australia, Today’s Hits on Apple Music, and MTV Global, with strong radio presence across KIIS Network and NOVA, peaking at #22 on the Top 100 AU Radio Chart, #16 on Shazam AU, and landing in the Top 50 Global Shazam.

“I Hate That It’s True” marks a fast-tracked moment for Lewis.

“Usually when I write a song it takes about a year before it can come out,” he explains. “I wrote ‘I Hate That It’s True’ about 10 weeks ago at an Airbnb in Bondi Beach. The day I wrote it we spent 48 hours finishing the production, rushing it over to my team and adding it onto my deluxe album. For me the song is a hint at what is to come on my next album; in the sense of where I’m headed with my songwriting and the more acoustic raw production.”

Also included on the deluxe release is a duet version of “With You” featuring Toronto-based Sofia Camara, recently featured in Channel 9’s MAFS Final Vows, propelling the song even further up the Shazam charts. Dean also delivers a heartfelt cover of Goo Goo Dolls’ classic “Iris.”

The Epilogue (Deluxe) will be available digitally and as a limited edition 2LP vinyl, giving fans a fresh collection of tracks that preview Lewis’ next creative era.
