Claudia Valentina drops dark-pop anthem “Candy,” reworking Kelis’ “Milkshake” with confidence and edge.
Claudia Valentina continues her ascent with the release of her bold new single “Candy,” out now via Electric Feel. Built on the iconic hook from Kelis’ “Milkshake,” the track transforms the playful Y2K classic into a dark, seductive anthem that captures Claudia’s signature confidence and genre-defying style.
With its brooding production and empowered tone, “Candy” further positions Claudia as a dynamic pop force unafraid to bend the rules. “I like to release music the same way I make it, what I feel like at the time ‘cause a bad bitch can be many things in one day and ‘Candy’ is like a taste of that other side. Ear candy moments, ‘cause boring pop gives me the ick,” Claudia shares.
The accompanying music video places Claudia and a crew of fearless women in a rugged open field and on dirt roads. Riding in a vintage car and tearing across the landscape on ATVs, the visual delivers striking contrasts of serenity and rebellion—perfectly channeling the song’s mix of sensuality and power. “The video for ‘Candy’ I’ve had on my mood board for around 6 years, and for it to finally come to life feels super exciting,” she adds.
“Candy” follows Claudia’s recent releases “Cry Them Dry,” “When I’m High,” and “Diamonds On My Teeth,” all set to appear on her forthcoming EP later this year. With every new track, Claudia Valentina continues to carve her lane in the next wave of pop provocateurs.
