In a stunning collaboration, Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne, and Smino come together on “Tree” — a bold and expressive anthem that brings to life the themes of legacy, resistance, and the nurturing power of Black women.
Chance’s verses cut with conviction, highlighting not only social injustice but also the fortitude found in Black families. His voice anchors the track with honesty, while Lil Wayne and Smino lend their own lyrical prowess to build on the song’s layered emotional core.

According to the vision behind the piece, “Tree” is not just a single. It’s part of Chance’s larger upcoming work, Star Line, a genre-bending project inspired by Marcus Garvey’s Black Star Line movement. This body of work reflects Chance’s exploration of cultural connection and spiritual truths across the Black diaspora.
