Singer-songwriter Cameron Whitcomb releases “Medusa (Acoustic),” following the success of the original version with over 26M global streams.

Cameron Whitcomb, the rising singer-songwriter known for his raw emotion and captivating vocals, has released a reimagined acoustic version of his hit song, “Medusa.” This stripped-down rendition of the fan favorite follows the original’s immense success, which garnered over 26 million global streams and recognition as one of Billboard’s “5 Must-Hear New Country Songs.”

The release of “Medusa (Acoustic)” comes as Whitcomb gears up for a landmark year. Currently featured on Apple Music’s Today Country cover and named to Amazon Music’s 2025 Artists To Watch and Shazam’s Fast Forward 2025, Whitcomb is primed for even greater heights. His upcoming Hundred Mile High Tour—named after his next single, dropping January 31—begins on March 13 in Charlotte, NC, at Amos Southend and includes a sold-out stop at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on March 28, with an additional date added on March 24 due to overwhelming demand.

Hailing from Nanaimo, BC, Whitcomb has a busy schedule ahead, including February headline dates in Canada and a nearly sold-out tour of Australia supporting Sam Barber on the Restless Mind Tour. Fans can also expect additional dates in the US and Canada to be announced soon.

This news follows a breakout year in 2024 for Whitcomb, marked by the release of his debut EP, Quitter. The deeply personal collection includes tracks like “Love Myself” and the title track, “Quitter,” which Billboard praised as “an anthemic folk track in the mold of Noah Kahan.” Now boasting over 42 million global streams, “Quitter” earned Whitcomb his first entry on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.

With “Medusa (Acoustic),” Whitcomb continues to showcase his ability to connect with listeners on a profound level, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.
