Guitarist and composer Anupam Shobhakar unveils Liquid Reality, a genre-defying body of work that dives headfirst into the possibilities of global sound. Following his historic fretless guitar recording of Raga Jhinjhoti, Anupam’s latest album expands his musical canvas.
A product of the Senia Maihar Gharana, Anupam’s classical training under Aashish Khan meets a modern, inventive spirit that shines through in this new release. Using a self-invented double-neck guitar, he traverses fretted and fretless terrains with seamless command.
The album’s personnel list reflects its global scope, featuring Utsav Lal, Santiago Liebson, Swami Selva Ganesh, Satoshi Takeishi, and others. Together, they create a sonic palette where East meets West—from jazz-rock fusion to meditative duets. 
“La Danse de Bonheur” reinterprets a Shakti staple, while “Anjaneya” fuses devotional energy with rock. “Formless” strips things back into intimate rhythm and silence.
