Amy Wiles releases “Dream Away” featuring Angel City, fusing trance roots with fresh energy and soaring vocals.

Amy Wiles returns with “Dream Away,” a dynamic collaboration with Angel City that channels classic trance through a modern lens. Released as her third single of 2025, the track follows the success of “Each Other” and “Heard It All Before” — songs that have already secured support from BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM.

An artist known for blending retro influence with forward-thinking sound design, Wiles draws inspiration from early 2000s trance. “Dream Away” continues that tradition, combining uplifting synth work with a melodic structure that’s both emotional and danceable. Angel City, the vocal and creative moniker of Lara McAllen, brings her distinct presence to the track after returning to music in 2023 following a decade-long break.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Wiles said: “Angel City records from back in the day were a big part of my childhood here in the U.K… The fact that we have a collaboration now, 20+ years later, is wild to me and a real full-circle moment.”

What makes “Dream Away” stand out is its layered approach. With contributions from multiple songwriters and Wiles’ production, the track is described as euphoric, nostalgic, and refreshingly unique. “It’s not like anything I’m currently hearing out there, but I quite like that… It has a nostalgic feel while also bringing something fresh to the table.”

With an engaged audience already reacting to the track on TikTok, “Dream Away” positions Wiles and McAllen as a compelling duo in the electronic landscape. The song is expected to build on Wiles’ growing reputation as a tastemaker within the trance revival scene.
