Lucy Dacus has released a brand new song “Planting Tomatoes,” along with a lyric
video filmed in Tokyo. Initially arriving as a limited edition Record Store Day exclusive
7” vinyl last weekend, “Planting Tomatoes” is about making a sincere effort to stay
present, grateful and interested on a day you realize you’re older than someone you’ve
lost.

The release of “Planting Tomatoes” follows the recent announcement of new North
American live dates, including two special symphony shows, one with the Chicago
Philharmonic (at Millennium Park) and one with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (at
the Hollywood Bowl with Cat Power performing The Greatest). Both shows will
feature never-before-heard orchestral arrangements of Dacus’ songs from her latest
album Forever Is A Feeling and throughout her critically-acclaimed discography.
Throughout the summer, Dacus will headline shows in Madison, Grand Rapids,
Toronto, Cleveland, Kingston, NY, Mass MoCa, Asbury Park and more, as part of
her largest tour to date, while also stopping along festivals such as Outside Lands and
Kilby Block Party. For each headlining show, Dacus will continue her partnership with
The Ally Coalition (TAC) to ensure that $1 from every ticket sold will go to organizations
serving queer and trans youth across North America. See below for full tour routing.
