Of the track, LP explains: “The first single is a real life song about a real life friend named Shelly. It’s the first time I’ve done such an intimate portrait of a friend in a song. I was in the studio with my producer Mike Del Rio when I got a call from Shelly to catch up and it sparked a whole story. Life is beautiful.”
