Alemeda’s ‘1-800 FK-YOU’ arrives on TDE, Warner Records with a visualizer, EP and tour history recapped, festival run continues.
The next chapter in Alemeda’s ascent begins with ‘1-800 FK-YOU’, out now on Top Dawg Entertainment, Warner Records. The single answers group chat chatter with a cheeky, no filter reply, driven by razor sharp delivery and a stance that shows zero tolerance for fakes. By flipping the script on drama, Alemeda moves side eyes into the center of attention, shaping an equal parts petty and powerful moment of hot girl confidence.
Alemeda places the intention in her own words: ““1-800-F**K-YOU” is really just about how I couldn’t care less what people think because I truly believe your haters are always your biggest fans. It’s cocky, and it’s a little petty in the cutest way.”
The single follows a path built on pop, rock, and indie sensibilities. The emerging Ethiopian Sudanese singer songwriter and producer first turned heads in 2021 with the UK garage cut ‘Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows’, now over 14 million streams. From there, Alemeda leaned into an alt pop rock muse and expanded creative production and genre fluidity. That evolution culminated in the 2024 debut EP ‘FK IT’, where unfiltered emotion and compelling storytelling helped establish a bold, magnetic artist to watch. The debut’s success and critical acclaim led to opening slots on tours for Rachel Chinouriri and Halsey recently. 
Live momentum continues. Alemeda is on a full festival run across North America and Europe, with marquee stops at Lollapalooza and Osheaga among others.
