Former LOONA member and acclaimed South Korean artist Yves makes a striking return with her latest solo single, “White Cat.” Released via PAIX PER MIL/ADA, the track leads into her upcoming EP Soft Error, arriving August 7.
On “White Cat,” Yves lets go of polished perfection. Built on chiptune-like synths and an erratic rhythm, the song unfolds like a digital dream glitching in real time. Her vocals rise and fall through the texture, creating a futuristic emotional terrain that explores identity and freedom. The metaphor at the center—comparing herself to a pristine cat abandoned in the streets—brings depth and intimacy to the track’s surreal tone.
The six-track EP Soft Error expands this narrative. Collaborations include PinkPantheress on “Soap” and Bratty on “Aibo,” where Yves switches effortlessly between languages and styles. The EP is a bold assertion of her creative independence and dynamic sound.
