FELIVAND releases her new album, blending self-discovery and unfiltered emotion through each track.
FELIVAND’s new album, my body’s my true north, is more than a project — it’s a declaration of trust in emotional honesty. Released today, the album arrives alongside a run of newly announced headline tour dates for September and October, offering fans a chance to experience the music live.
The project centers on a deep personal transformation that took place during therapy. FELIVAND shares the moment of realization that sparked the album’s theme: the body remembers everything — storing experiences and memories even when the mind denies or rationalizes them.
That understanding shaped not only the lyrics but the method by which the album was created. FELIVAND explains:
“When I listen to what my body’s telling me, it feels like an unwavering light at the end of the tunnel, an orienting point. Something fixed like a ‘true north’, while everything else around it spins. When I follow thought, i’m in with everything that’s spinning.”
This embodiment-first creative process gave rise to FELIVAND’s most emotionally transparent work to date. Her earlier album Ties showcased control and polish, but my body’s my true north forgoes structure in favor of feeling.
The songs reflect a fearless surrender to intuition — a recurring theme throughout the project’s sonic and lyrical landscapes. From moments of fragility to grounded self-assurance, FELIVAND allows each song to evolve without overthinking.
With this release, she confirms her place among alt-pop’s most emotionally intelligent voices, using music not just as expression, but as healing.
