CHINCHILLA drops “Avoidance” video, the first in a trilogy, and confirms European headline tour.
CHINCHILLA continues to rise with the visual release of “Avoidance,” her latest single and the first in a trilogy set to roll out this summer. The music video, directed by London creative Claryn Chong, paints a picture of emotional unraveling, highlighting the raw power of CHINCHILLA’s lyricism and performance.
Set inside a cab, the clip transforms into a surreal experience—a metaphor for emotional freefall. Styled by Holly Wood with avant-garde fashion from Keko Hainswheeler, the visuals amplify the vulnerability of the track, which was written in under an hour following a moment of intense anxiety.
“‘Avoidance’ was written when I was going through a really rough break up and received a message in a cab on my way to a writing session, which sent me into an anxiety attack,” CHINCHILLA says. “I feel so emotionally attached to this video because the best word I can use to describe it is ‘honest’.”
The single has been well received by press outlets including Dork, Official Charts, CLASH, and MTV. The video also marks a continuation of CHINCHILLA’s busy summer, following three sold-out shows and opening slots for Justin Timberlake across Europe.
Fans can catch her live this autumn on her newly announced headline European tour. Additionally, she’ll be joining G Flip’s 2025 US tour as a support act—extending her growing global presence.
