SG Lewis is entering a bold new chapter. His latest single, “Sugar,” features Shygirl and previews the emotional, dance-driven sound of his forthcoming album, Anemoia, arriving September 5. With a North American tour also confirmed, this moment marks a return to the core of SG’s solo artistry.
The chemistry between SG Lewis and Shygirl continues to shine. Their previous track “mr useless” became a fan-favorite and club staple, and now, “Sugar” takes their sonic connection further — laced with Balearic grooves, luminous synths, and Shygirl’s captivating vocals.
Reflecting on the album’s theme, SG Lewis says:
“When I discovered the word Anemoia, it articulated a feeling I’d struggled to describe for so long — a nostalgia for times I never lived through.” 
The album draws on early trance and 2000s electronica, infusing timeless influences into vivid dance music storytelling. “This album is rooted in the dancefloor,” SG adds, “even its quieter moments are shaped by Balearic sounds… I want Anemoia to be a soundtrack to living in the present.”
After spending time grounded in London post-tour, SG Lewis tapped into introspection and sonic freedom, channeling that energy into “Back of My Mind” and now, “Sugar.”
