Rising hip-hop voice METAPHYSICAL channels survival into soulful storytelling and entrepreneurship.
If you’re not already watching METAPHYSICAL, you should be. The indie hip-hop artist and entrepreneur—born Philip Singer—has emerged from incredible adversity to inspire others with his art and ambition.
Raised in California’s Central Valley, Philip’s life took dramatic turns—from addiction and homelessness to military service and a life-threatening accident in 1994 that left him in a coma. “I had to relearn how to walk and talk,” he recalls. The recovery was long, but music helped lead him through.
That passion has grown into a career. As METAPHYSICAL, he writes and performs songs filled with honesty, shaped by pain but focused on hope. Living with epilepsy, he’s now seizure-free thanks to treatment, and embraces his diagnosis as part of his identity.
He’s also an entrepreneur. His H I G H Ice Tea is on shelves at Kroger, while his publishing company, Fred Sanford Music Group, keeps him connected to independent music’s heart. A proud Army veteran, he brings discipline and resilience to every project.
This is a rebirth—not a rebrand.
