Olivia Dean joins Sam Fender on a reimagined “Rein Me In,” adding fresh perspective and new verse.

In a striking musical union, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have joined forces to deliver a new rendition of “Rein Me In.” Originally a fan-favorite from Fender’s People Watching album, the track now takes on a refreshed emotional energy with Dean contributing a heartfelt new verse and vocals.

Shot through with melancholy and introspection, “Rein Me In” has always been one of Fender’s more vulnerable offerings. Now, Dean’s addition introduces a complementary voice that elevates the song’s core message. “If I collaborate with another artist on one of my songs, I prefer they write a new part and make it their own,” Fender explained. “Olivia added a female perspective… and I think it’s all the better for it.”

The duo recently performed the track together at London Stadium, a moment that was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from a packed 80,000-strong crowd. Fan-shot clips from the show have since made their rounds on social media, further stoking excitement for the studio version.

“‘Rein Me In’ is my favourite song on Sam’s album,” Dean stated. “It was a pleasure to write a new verse from a female perspective… I’m so pleased we got to work together on this duet.”

The accompanying video, directed by Daniel Broadley, offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the emotional power of the live performance, combining visuals from Sam’s sold-out stadium shows in both Newcastle and London.

With an already packed year ahead, Fender is poised to continue his global momentum with more headline dates across Europe and the U.S., wrapping up with an Australian leg later this year.
