SE SO NEON share “Remember!” and announce new album “NOW”, out August 15—plus fall tour dates.

SE SO NEON, helmed by acclaimed South Korean musician Soyoon Hwang, have announced their upcoming album <NOW>, set for release on August 15. Known for crafting a sound that spans lo-fi, psych-rock, and synth-pop, the band delivers another emotionally immersive experience with the new single “Remember!”.

The track, released alongside a self-directed music video and an English version, blends subtle elegance with cinematic punch. Its soundscapes shift from calm introspection to explosive crescendos, showcasing Soyoon’s dynamic range as both a songwriter and performer.

Speaking on the track’s inspiration, Soyoon shares, “Sadly, there are times when I come to understand myself through the death of others… The way of remembering him is to hold onto this.”

Co-produced by Jon Nellen and mixed by Nathan Boddy, “Remember!” honors the legacy of Ryuichi Sakamoto, while also exploring themes of identity, mortality, and artistic resilience.

Soyoon’s creative momentum for this album was ignited after relocating briefly to New York City. “I had been thinking, ‘I’m done. I’m not going to do music anymore.’ But after that New York experience, I felt hope.”

<NOW> reflects both that hope and the resolve to live and create in the present. Its themes are intertwined with Soyoon’s deep connection to nature, bringing a sonic landscape that is unclassifiable yet deeply rooted in truth.

The group will support the album with a North American tour beginning September 3, stopping in major cities including Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.
