Ariana and the Rose reemerges with “I Just Came To Say Goodbye,” an emotionally rich pop anthem that sets the tone for her upcoming project, The Breakup Variety Hour.
Marking her first new music in three years, the track is co-written with HARLOE and evolves from a gentle piano arrangement into a fully orchestrated pop moment, with sweeping synths and choir-inspired vocals.
Ariana explains, “This song is where we begin, at the moment we decide to leave and the rest of the record is how we piece ourselves back together.” Her lyrics sit at the intersection of raw emotion and polished pop, drawing listeners into a reflective journey of healing. 
The track leads into her summer residency at Club Cumming in New York City, where she’ll perform selections from the album on July 16, August 13, and September 11.
With The Breakup Variety Hour, Ariana continues the momentum from her earlier work, including Lonely Hearts Club, while expanding into theatrical storytelling.
Her viral “piano chat” content gained millions of views during lockdown and showcased her knack for combining humor with honesty—traits that now fuel her new album’s concept: a one-woman show that is also a breakup recovery program set to music.
