GloRilla amplifies her creative momentum with the powerful new video for “Typa,” a collaboration that spotlights emotional storytelling and cultural crossovers. Teaming with R&B icon Keyshia Cole and NFL up-and-comer Xavier Legette, Glo crafts a layered visual that adds dimension to her ongoing hit streak.
Benny Boom’s direction adds cinematic weight to the visual, drawing from the deep emotional tone of Keyshia Cole’s “Love”—a 2005 classic that’s skillfully sampled in the track. GloRilla floats effortlessly over the soulful sample, using it as a foundation for her no-nonsense bars about loyalty, passion, and ride-or-die devotion.
Legette steps in as Glo’s onscreen partner, standing by her through thick and thin—including a dramatic scene where he helps her out of jail. Meanwhile, Keyshia Cole plays a key role as a voice of guidance, offering heartfelt counsel during pivotal points in the video. 
The release of “Typa” arrives on the heels of GloRilla’s breakout year. Her debut album GLORIOUS not only reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200, it also produced multiple fan favorites like “TGIF” and collaborations with T-Pain and Sexyy Red. The project remains the top-selling female rap album of 2024 and marked the highest debut week for a woman in rap that year.
Her collaborative run in 2025 has been equally strong, including appearances on tracks by Lil Baby, Teddy Swims, and GELO. Following a headline tour and festival spots at Coachella and Dreamville Fest, GloRilla is set for a packed summer lineup including the BET Awards, Summer Jam, and ESSENCE Fest.
