Afro house talents Alex Wann & Shimza drop “Skill Of Love,” fusing afrotech tension and signature piano. Out now.
Afro house powerhouse Alex Wann links up with South African afrotech mainstay Shimza for a dynamic new single, “Skill Of Love,” out now via Helix Records. First revealed during their much-hyped back-to-back set at Miami Music Week and to an awe-struck audience at the Pyramids of Giza, “Skill Of Love” arrives with momentum and anticipation.
The track builds an emotionally charged atmosphere through hypnotic loops, airy vocals, and bright, uplifting piano chords. A whirring bassline adds a sinister undercurrent, keeping the energy suspenseful and the groove in motion.

Alex Wann continues his rise in the global electronic scene, following his breakout hit “Milkshake” in 2023, which earned support from Keinemusik, Diplo, Pete Tong, Carlita, and more. His 2024 calendar includes major appearances at Cercle, Panorama, Moga, and Brunch Electronik, as well as a show-stopping B2B with Pete Tong at IMS Dalt Vila. Upcoming gigs span Tomorrowland Belgium, Pacha Ibiza, Lollapalooza Paris, So Track Boa Brazil, and CRSSD San Diego.
He’s also made waves with remixes for Adriatique & Eynka, Route 94’s “My Love,” and WhoMadeWho & Kölsch’s “Heartless.” His collab “Set Me Free” with Aaron Hibell and its CamelPhat remix has further fueled his momentum.
Shimza, a standout in South Africa’s thriving dance scene, continues to grow globally. Known for his work with Elderbrook, Aloe Blacc, and CamelPhat, he also launched the “Karma Karma” radio show, drawing over a million weekly listeners. His Kunye brand spans Africa to Ibiza, with a major UK date set for June 7 at London’s High Lights festival.
