Jordan Firstman unveils genre-blending album “Secrets”, with guests like Julia Fox and Rufus Wainwright. Out now via Capitol Records.
Multitalented performer Jordan Firstman—comedian, actor, singer, and writer—has released his debut album Secrets, now available via Capitol Records. Building on the viral momentum of his social media series by the same name, the concept album mixes humor and vulnerability in equal measure. Secrets features an eclectic cast of collaborators from music and film, including Rufus Wainwright, Julia Fox, Rachel Sennott, Suki Waterhouse, LAUNDRY DAY, Jimmy Pop of Bloodhound Gang, and even Firstman’s own mother.
Alongside the album comes a video for “I’m quitting my job tomorri,” a bittersweet, UK garage-influenced track that draws on sonic elements reminiscent of Pink Pantheress and Central Cee. The video mirrors the track’s satirical yet heartfelt tone, capturing a couple navigating a major crossroads. Notably, the song title contains a purposeful typo, part of Firstman’s concept of transforming fan-submitted secrets into art.

Since 2020, Firstman has invited followers to share anonymous “deepest, darkest, and dirtiest” confessions via Instagram DMs, which he then interprets musically or with commentary. The result is a genre-spanning project that includes jazz, R&B, dance-punk, country, EDM, and more. Firstman worked with top producers Brad Oberhofer, Blake Slatkin, Zach Dawes, and Sega Bodega, letting the user-submitted titles shape the sonic direction.
A prominent figure online, Firstman’s Impressions series and comedic persona have earned him praise from DAZED, nearly a million social followers, and fans including Ariana Grande and Chrissy Teigen. His acting credits include You People, Rotting in the Sun, FX’s English Teacher, and Disney+’s Ms. Marvel. He’ll next star in Rachel Sennott’s upcoming HBO series.
Secrets marks Firstman’s evolution into a compelling singer-songwriter—still deeply funny and socially aware, but musically fearless.
