Damian Lazarus releases “Alive,” a stirring collaboration with Bloom Twins, plus remix from Nick Morgan.
Crosstown Rebels founder Damian Lazarus continues to evolve his genre-defying sound with the release of his new single “Alive,” featuring London-based, Ukrainian-born dark-pop duo Bloom Twins. Out now, the track extends the narrative of his fifth studio album Magickal, which launched earlier this year in tandem with the 2025 edition of Day Zero.
“Alive” brings together deep electronic textures and ethereal pop elements, offering a rich, cinematic soundscape shaped by Lazarus, the Bloom Twins, and acclaimed producer Mark Ralph. Ralph, known for his work on Lazarus’ seminal debut album Smoke The Monster Out, brings additional polish to the new single, creating a bridge between the past and present of Lazarus’ sonic universe.
Bloom Twins’ haunting vocals blend seamlessly with the hypnotic production, resulting in an emotionally charged composition that balances intensity with warmth. The track offers a fresh and unexpected twist on Lazarus’ musical direction—emotive, unpredictable, and deeply immersive.
Adding even more dimension to the release, Canadian DJ/producer Nick Morgan returns to Crosstown Rebels with a remix of “Alive,” following his acclaimed 2024 rework of AIRRICA’s “Hi Speed Lover.” His remix transforms the track into a dynamic, club-ready journey set to resonate on global dancefloors.
With “Alive,” Lazarus reaffirms his place as one of electronic music’s most compelling and innovative storytellers. Bridging pop and electronic realms with finesse, the single adds another standout to the ever-expanding Crosstown Rebels catalogue.
