Kassi Ashton & Parker McCollum team up for ‘Sounds Like Something I’d Say,’ featured on Made From The Dirt: The Blooms, out April 25.

Kassi Ashton joins forces with Parker McCollum for a heartfelt new single, “Sounds Like Something I’d Say,” a track reflecting on regret and past mistakes. The song will be featured on Kassi’s upcoming deluxe album, Made From The Dirt: The Blooms, set for release on April 25 via MCA Nashville.

Bringing together vulnerable storytelling and stripped-down production, the duet captures the raw emotion of the night before. Speaking about the collaboration, Kassi shares:
“Parker is a great friend of mine and I love his voice. The first time I ever heard him sing this song, we were backstage at the Ryman. I knew I had to cut it and that he had to sing it with me.”

Parker adds:
“Kassi has been one of my favorite singers in Nashville for quite some time. I had a demo in my phone of her singing this song for a few years. After begging her to record it for a long time, she finally said she’d do it if I’d sing on it with her. I’m so glad I decided to do it and I hope it hits all the feels when people hear it.”

Kassi had a breakout year in 2024, earning an ACM nomination for New Female Artist of the Year, landing a Top 40 country radio hit, and joining Old Dominion, Jamey Johnson, and Parker McCollum on tour. She will be hitting the road again this spring, joining Jon Pardi’s Honkytonk Hollywood Tour starting April 25.
